Mephisto selects only first quality leathers, being natural full-grain leathers, aniline dyed. Mephisto uses only genuine top-quality leathers of European or North American origin.
Grained Leathers
Lovely rustic grained leathers: Mammoth, Bamby, Antic, Tapirus, for Originals, Trampolins, Sandals, and Goodyear, etc.
Oiled Leathers
Waterproofed, very resistant to dampness snow and water, as used for Hunter, Trekking, Slacker, etc.
Nubuck
A soft velvety surface in superb colors: Maya, Sandalbuck, Satina, Regata, etc. As used in City Hikers, Sandals, etc.
Smooth Leather
An excellent natural leather of the utmost quality: Rustika, Softy, Sweet, Suportlo, Sandanyl, Mexico... As used in Originals, Air Jets, Sandals, Golf.

Natural Latex
This natural material, collected from the sap of tropical trees, is used in all Mephisto shoes. Every style in the international Mephisto collection has natural latex foam midsole for unbeatable pleasure when walking.
Natural Cork
The footbed of Mephisto sandals and the insole of Mobils are made from natural cork. Pieces of natural cork are mixed with special latex and are then molded to very precise shapes. Therefore, this natural material retains its remarkable qualities of lightness, elasticity and anti-bacteria.
Natural Jute
This natural textile is incorporated in the footbeds of our Mobils sandals. This natural material makes the best bond between cork and leather while providing the flexibility so characteristic of Mephisto footbeds.
